Smoke & Tears Chickpea Curry
Ingredients:
¼ Cup Canola oil
2 Tbsp Good curry powder
1 Large Onion diced
2 Tsp Minced garlic
1 Tsp Ground allspice
1 Tsp Ground nutmeg spice
1½ Tsp paprika
1 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tsp Fresh or dried thyme
1 Tsp Cumin
36 Fl Oz Chickpeas drained
2 Cups broth (your choice)
2 Tbsp Smoke & Tears, Smokescream sauce
2 green onions chopped
2 tablespoons or more chopped parsley
Diamond Kosher Salt to taste
Instructions:
Heat up a medium to large pot and fry the spices with the oil briefly. Add the onion, and garlic and fry for 1 minute. Add the brown sugar, stir to incorporate and then add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for 15 minutes or until mildly thickened.
Serve with a protein prepared with Smoke & Tears Jerk Marinade, Smoke & Tears Coleslaw, Smoke & Tears Hot Pan Bread and rice & peas for a Caribbean Feast!
