SMOKE & MIRRORS ✨ Smoked & Truffled Habanero Hot Sauce

We have at least 15 different hot sauces in our house at any given time and the Smoked & Truffled Habanero Hot Sauce is probably the favourite!! Ribs…yup…pulled pork….yup….steak…..most definitely!!!

I've had and continue enjoying a variety of hot sauces. While there are super-spicy-hot ones, that make you all red and teary-eyed, there are also down-right wimpy kind, too. Finding a balance between the spice level, taste, and heat is not an easy thing to accomplish. I feel that Smoke & Mirrors variety is near perfectly balancing the flavor, the taste, and the pleasant (and not overwhelming) heat. I've enjoyed this sauce with a range of dishes: meats, potato salad, fish, and shrimp. And this sauce never felt wrong with either. Purchased a second bottle to give to another hot-sauce-aficionado, too. Call it a 'universal success', and you will not be mistaken. Well done!

This hot sauce is EVERYTHING. It’s taken our home cooking to a new and epic level. I cannot live without it.

I run a restaurant in Ottawa and through family connections I heard about this great new venture of Smoke and Tears. I tried almost everything they made and the hardest decision I have had to make in 2021 was to pick which sauce would become the standard at my restaurant. It sounds corny but it's very true when I say there was not a single one I would not have loved to use . I went with smoked and truffled as it was the staff favourite and I have been getting incredible reviews and feedback from everyone that tries it. Having a chef background I respect using quality ingredients and consistently recreating a flavour profile. At Smoke and Tears they have achieved this in spades. Congratulations on an amazing new business and I will continue to be a faithful customer and spread the word !!

The truffeled hot sauce was tasty but not my favorite Smoke & Tears sauce. As with the other sauces, the flavor was well balanced & delicious. No “blow your mouth out” heat just for heats sake. The smoke & heat was perfect for my taste but the truffle flavor in this sauce wasn’t obvious to my palate (which can be a good thing, over used truffle oil is nauseating ). The predominant flavors for this sauce is a smoky sweet heat. If that’s your preference then this is the sauce for you.

I have been fortunate enough to try many of the hot sauces offered. I wanted a local and artisinal sauce for the restaurant I manage. It was not an easy decision as there was not a single sauce I tried that I didn't love. However we chose one and the reviews have been excellent !!! Smoked and trucfled is an absolute dynamo sauce. I will likely mix things up seasonally but everyone that tries the sauce loves it. Customers and staff alike.

I think Smoked and Truffled is the dark horse of the collection. I’ve never been a fan of truffles and was reluctant to try this one but to my delight, Kevin has created the most delicious sauce with just a hint of truffle. I am in love with this sauce and use it on grilled burgers and tofu. I have also added smoked and truffled to a mix of cream cheese and green onion to add to roasted potatoes. It’s a must have in our pantry.

Smoke & Mirrors is my favourite of the Essential 6ix. Smokey, savoury, and a good balance of heat that fires-up your pallet without drowning out all that flavour. I put this on everything :)

This sauce is sooo good! Highly recommend. I am not even a big fan of truffled, but this sauce does not disappoint! Pairs well with just about everything, very versatile!

This is the best hot sauce I've ever had. It's a perfect balance in everyway. Approachable but not timid. Kevin has a hell of a pallet.
